We have positions available for meteorologists, computer programmers and customer service representatives. Nearly all openings are full-time, salaried positions, which have availability to WeatherBank's full package of benefits including: medical, dental, and disability insurance packages; Cafeteria 125 and 401K plans; and time away from the office consisting of personal leave days, vacations and holidays.
We seek meteorologists at all experience levels. Our meteorologists are responsible for forecasting a variety of weather products and issuing various alert statements to our clients throughout North America.
Applicants should have at least a B.S. in Meteorology or a related field. Applicants with pending degrees are reviewed on an individual basis. Applicants with prior professional forecasting experience, a strong and positive work ethic, and working knowledge of Microsoft® DOS, Windows® 95/98/2000/NT, and Microsoft Office® are preferred.
WeatherBank is expanding existing IT applications for the Internet and our numerous Windows® and UNIX®-based platforms. Programming candidates should possess a strong working knowledge of C, C++, Windows®, HTML, etc., and should also have experience in serial communications, TSR's, hardware systems, device interrupts, printer drivers and applications, LAN configurations, and GUI's.
Candidates should have earned a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field; and should posses: a minimum of 3 years commercial programming experience; strong communication skills; and a positive attitude. Those individuals with a strong knowledge of meteorology and/or atmospheric sciences are preferred.
Marketing & Customer Service Representatives
WeatherBank is always seeking experienced marketing and customer service professionals. Candidates should posses a B.A. or B.S. in marketing or a related field. Priority consideration is given to those applicants with diverse commercial employment histories, experience with Microsoft Windows®, Microsoft Office®, Adobe PhotoShop® and InDesign®, DOS software, and strong telephone and communication skills.
