Meteorologists
We currently have immediate openings for meteorologists at various levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting a variety of weather parameters and issuing alert statements for industrial and commercial clientele across North America. 

Each applicant should have a B.S. (minimum) or M.S. in Meteorology or related degree (or pending degree), professional forecasting experience is desirable; a strong working knowledge of computer applications (DOS, Windows, EXCEL, etc.); and a strong and positive work ethic.

 

Computer Programmers
WeatherBank distributes products via a continuous satellite signal, modem BBS service and the internet. These products include 2D and 3D high resolution weather graphics and text products. The vast majority of the software written to date is in C++ and assembler. 

WeatherBank is expanding existing applications for its Internet, Windows and UNIX based platforms. Candidates should possess a strong working knowledge of C, C++, Windows programming, HTML, etc. Successful candidates should also have experience in serial communications, TSR's, hardware systems, device interrupts, printer drivers and applications, LAN configurations, Windows, GUI's etc.

Requirements: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related fields; a minimum of 3 years of past commercial programming experience, a positive work attitude; knowledge of meteorology and/or atmospheric sciences helpful.

 

  Marketing/Customer Service Representative
WeatherBank is always seeking experienced marketing professionals. Minimum requirements include a B.A. or B.S. in marketing or a related field. Those applicants with diverse commercial employment histories and experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and DOS software applications plus strong telephone skills are given priority consideration.
